Sleep ?

Having trouble sleeping? This breathing trick can help you fall asleep in less than a minute. The method was developed by Harvard-educated, wellness practitioner Dr. Andrew Weil, who specializes in breathing, meditation, and how it can be used to counteract stress.
It’s very easy; just breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, hold it for 7 seconds, and exhale through your mouth for 8 seconds. This slows down your heart rate and it also releases chemicals in your brain that soothe you. By using this breathing method, you counteract the natural effects of adrenaline. When you first begin, you may feel a bit uncomfortable, but as you continue, you will feel very relaxed, your heart rate slow and your mind clear.
Give it a try tonight, and tell us what you think in the comments section below.

" Be Holy As I Am Holy "

"Be holy as I am holy" (Lev. 19:2). This doesn't mean wrapping yourself up in some protective cloak of religious rituals as much as it means accepting your own atonement: reconciling who you are with your past, finding healing and love, and walking in genuine hope... Holiness isn't as much "separation" from the profane as it is "consecration" to the sacred, and in that sense it is a kind of teshuvah, a turning of the heart back to reality.... Negatively put, "being holy" is turning away from fear, despair, and anger; positively put, it is embracing the worth and value of life, respecting the Divine Presence, and walking in the radiance of God's love.

Silence

" Beauty can only be best described at its origin through a befuddling silence, the kind that leaves one almost on the verge of a pleasurable death, just because one chooses beauty over life. There is nothing in this world to hold something so pure, so divine except a loving heart. And it is the only manner through which love recognises love; the language of love has no alphabet, no words.”

Fly

“Sensitive people are the most genuine and honest people you will ever meet. There is nothing they won’t tell you about themselves if they trust your kindness. However, the moment you betray them, reject them or devalue them, they become the worse type of person. Unfortunately, they end up hurting themselves in the long run. They don’t want to hurt other people. It is against their very nature. They want to make amends and undo the wrong they did. Their life is a wave of highs and lows. They live with guilt and constant pain over unresolved situations and misunderstandings. They are tortured souls that are not able to live with hatred or being hated. This type of person needs the most love anyone can give them because their soul has been constantly bruised by others. However, despite the tragedy of what they have to go through in life, they remain the most compassionate people worth knowing, and the ones that often become activists for the broken hearted, forgotten and the misunderstood. They are angels with broken wings that only fly when loved.”

Heart to Heart ~

“In love, nothing exists between heart and heart.
Speech is born out of longing,
True description from the real taste.
The one who tastes, knows;
the one who explains, lies.
How can you describe the true form of Something
In whose presence you are blotted out?
And in whose being you still exist?
And who lives as a sign for your journey?”

Destroyed ~

“No one ever said your life would be easy. The nature of being human makes life for all of us a challenge. The most important thing to consider here is this. Your life is only as challenging as you think it is. Think of challenge as a teacher and yourself the student. It's up to you to figure out what the lesson is to be learned. To learn that lesson and build the strength and courage to face other challenges….”

Didn't need to know that !

“Sometimes life brings you the most unexpected experiences, where you learn more than you ever wanted to.”

Of Course I'll Hurt You ~

“Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence.” ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Far wiser writers than I have repeatedly taught me that hurt is part of our human experience. Everyone you or I meet has been hurt; most have healed as well.
We all carry past sorrows, losses, betrayals and heartbreaks in the back pocket of our hearts.
I have been a terrible student, though. I read, enraptured; listen and nod, and then I forget, and I walk through the world with one hand hiding my scars, trying to pretend they don’t exist.
And lately I have realized that I walk with fear, too.
For all my talk of fearlessness, I am afraid.
I face heights and snakes with a steady hand, and darkness and distance with unblinking eyes, but the risk of emotional pain scares me still. This I have not conquered, yet.
I wonder if that is because I have not accepted the ubiquity of hurt. I cannot face what I pretend not to see.
Everyone has been hurt. I listen to others’ stories with empathy, but I rarely share my own. Those dark corners and pockets are my deepest secrets, though I needn’t be ashamed of them. I try to cover my cracks, but still the light sneaks in.
Lately I’ve been thinking, when I feel fear in day to day situations, I don’t deal with it by pretending my fears are not justified:
When riding a motorcycle, I know the risk of accident is very real. I accept that risk and enjoy the wind in my hair anyways.
When jumping into dark water, I don’t know what lies beneath the surface. I accept that uncertainty and jump, and my mind immediately clears.
When encountered with a large spider or snake, I know it is probably poisonous. I choose to laugh at my racing pulse because my choices are quite limited, and I would rather smile.
I would rather smile.
Every day I move through this world I confront a swirl of dangers, risks seen and unseen, and every day I overcome another fear. Faced with uncertainty, darkness and threat I choose to smile, because what are my choices?
I acknowledge my vulnerability, but I do not allow it to dictate my actions. I refuse to be cowed by these grim realities.
And yet, for all my talk of fearlessness, I am afraid.
I am afraid of being hurt, again.
And I don’t smile, I cry.
I don’t jump, I stand frozen at the edge of trust, unable to leap.
I don’t accept the inevitability of risk—I resist, and my resistance makes me tired and anxious.

So these words are for me, and for anyone else with a fear to acknowledge, face, and let go:

Of course, I will be hurt.
It is inevitable.
Of course, each moment of trust—in the universe, in the unseen terrain beneath the surface, in others—is a moment of risk.
Jump anyways.
Of course, people will hurt me.
Accept the possibility, and enjoy the wind in the meantime.
Of course, I have every reason to be afraid.
But I have every reason to smile, too.
And I would rather smile.

“Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.” ~ Paulo Coelho

Courage

“The courage is light of one’s life, is the beauty of today. The hope of one’s soul, is the promise of a tomorrow. The times of our past, is a wisdom for anytime. The voyage of one’s mind, is a journey towards discovery. The joy in one’s heart, is a gift for everyone. The faith of a soul, is a key to hope and to love. The true unconditional love of a heart is a priceless treasure one can ever give. For our mind, heart and soul In any journey of rise or fall, Let faith, hope and love breathe .”

Patient

“Today I began to criticise myself and look at myself with a judgmental eye... but then instead of going all out in that direction, I stopped and I began to understand me. And then I began to be patient with me. And then I began to feel a softness in the middle of my chest. So then I concluded that I can understand and be patient with me, just like how I am always understanding and being patient with everyone else. Why? Because I deserve that, and more.”

Betrayal ~

“The betrayal of betrayal is found not in how it wounds, and wound it surely does, but in how we cling to stand divert the work it asks of us to grow beyond its defining boundaries. As Jung once observed, we don’t solve our wounds, but we can outgrow them. The flight from doing so is the real betrayal. What choice then does history, not having been addressed and worked through, have but to haunt us?” - Dr. James Hollis, Jungian Analyst

PRAISE ~

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all stars of light! Praise Him, highest heavens, and the waters that are above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created ... Psalm 148:1-5.

WHY ?

Why do we choose sadness over happiness, when we are hurting? answer is simple, because every other emotion just feels wrong, depending upon how well you can lie to yourself and convince yourself to feel happy again. But if you want to heal your wounds, Let sadness take its course. It helps you recognize your faults and make peace with your inner self, let it take its time and when the time is right you shall feel happy again, most importantly in control and satisfied.” ― Sneha Agarwal

Peace

“Make peace with silence, and remind yourself that it is in this space that you'll come to remember your spirit. When you're able to transcend an aversion to silence, you'll also transcend many other miseries. And it is in this silence that the remembrance of God will be activated.”

I was Giving up ?

“I was giving up. I would have given up - if a voice hadn't made itself heard in my heart. The voice said "I will not die. I refuse it. I will make it through this nightmare. I will beat the odds, as great as they are. I have survived so far, miraculously. Now I will turn miracle into routine. The amazing will be seen everyday. I will put in all the hard work necessary. Yes, so long as God is with me, I will not die. Amen.” ― Yann Martel, Life

Is ~

" Is it enough to believe with a positive heart that people didn’t let you down. They couldn’t give you the compassion you wanted based on where their heart is . Years later they will catch the memory of you. There on that morning, a light will shine through the fog of lies, misunderstanding they built inside their mind about your character. The shadows will be casted out to reveal a girl that just wanted to be loved. Maybe the whisper of their gratitude will find its way back to your heart."

Eternal Worth

“At times we may feel insignificant, invisible, alone, or forgotten. But always remember—you matter to Him! Just think of it: You are known [personally] and remembered [intimately] by the most majestic, powerful, and glorious Being in the universe! You are loved by the King of infinite space and everlasting time! He sees you as you are capable and designed to become. May we ever believe, trust, and understand our true eternal worth and potential.” –Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Invisible ~

Let the painful assist you. Get intimate with what hurts and bugs you. Date your loneliness, cuddle your grief, dance with your anger, cradle your shame. Stop making such a virtue out of comfort. Stop expecting spiritual practice to make you feel better. Get intimate with discomfort, without becoming an ascetic or devotee of diseased renunciation.-Robert Augustus Masters (Federico Bebber)

Etc~

When one begins to ask questions like that one is stepping into the second half of life. And I’m not speaking chronologically as much as psychologically. To say “What’s really going on here? What are the values, the messages that are calling the shots? Do I find them consistent with other aspects of my psychological life? Are they being confirmed by the feeling function, by energy systems, by my dreams, etcetera?

Deal With It

" Find your life purpose, know how the egoic mind operates, detached yourself from the egoic mind, lived in essence, been in essence in relationships, overcame duality, trusted life, became awake, reprogrammed beliefs, handled anger, forgiven everyone, loved yourself, dealt with fears, overcome anger you had with all - cleared your emotional complexes & negativity, let go of the past, dealt with difficult relationships and mastered loving all creations of the universe.” ― Marina G. Roussou

Understood

The desire to go home that is a desire to be whole, to know where you are, to be the point of intersection of all the lines drawn through all the stars, to be the constellation-maker and the center of the world, that center called love. To awaken from sleep, to rest from awakening, to tame the animal, to let the soul go wild, to shelter in darkness and blaze with light, to cease to speak and be perfectly understood.”

My Dream

Sweetie pie, cutie pie you are special in my eye Giggles, giggles make me smile come and give a hug for a while Smiles, smiles all the time little grandchild of mine Trucks and cars ice cream and bars Boats and blocks keys and locks walks around the block while we stroll and talk Time for a nap little one today we had our fun Each day with you is a special one My little man, my grandson.

Vast Solitude

What is necessary, after all, is only this: solitude, vast inner solitude. To walk inside yourself and meet no one for hours - that is what you must be able to attain. To be solitary as you were when you were a child, when the grownups walked around involved with matters that seemed large and important because they looked so busy and because you didn't understand a thing about what they were doing. ~

St. Francis

"Blessed is the servant who loves his brother as much when he is sick and useless as when he is well and can be of service to him. And blessed is he who loves his brother as well when he is afar off as when he is by his side, and who would say nothing behind his back he might not, in love, say before his face." -- St. Francis of Assisi

I Did Look

One day I looked at something in myself that I had been avoiding because it was too painful. Yet once I did take a look, I had an unexpected surprise. Rather than feeling self-hatred, I was flooded with compassion for myself, because I realized how much pain I would have had to be in to develop that sort of coping mechanism to begin with. -Marianne Williamson

....and you will be...

“Decide that life is good and you are special. Decide to enjoy today. Decide that you will live life to the fullest now, no matter what. Trust that you will change what needs changing, but also decide that you're not going to put off enjoying life just because you don't have everything you want now. Steadfastly refuse to let anything steal your joy. Choose to be happy...and you will be.” ― Donna Fargo

Listen ~

Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven’t the answer to a question you’ve been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a roomful of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you hear your loved ones voice. Each one is different, you know, & all very beautiful, if you listen carefully

Always

I shall love you, and one day we shall have a real, all-embracing explanation, and then perhaps we shall somehow fit together, you and I, and turn ourselves in such a way that we form one pattern, and solve the puzzle: draw a line from point A to point B...without looking, or, without lifting the pencil...or in some other way...we shall connect the points, draw the line, and you and I shall form that unique design for which we yearn. ― Vladimir Nabokov

Psalm 18;46

One of the great Hebrew names of God is El Elyon (אֵל עֶלְיוֹן), often translated as God "Most High." The name first appears in the Torah regarding the mysterious figure of Melchizedek (מַלְכִּי־צֶדֶק), the timeless king and priest of Zion who served "God Most High" (Gen. 14:18). Note the word "Elyon" itself (עֶלְיוֹן) comes from a root word (עָלָה) that means to ascend. For instance, an olah offering (עלָה) is a whole burnt offering that ascends upward to heaven. Calling God “Elyon” expresses the truth that the LORD our God has "made aliyah" on high, the resurrected and Ascended One who overcame all the powers of hell and utterly vanquished death's power for us... In other words, Elyon is a name for the LORD our God Yeshua, as it says: “The LORD lives, and blessed be my Rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation” (Psalm 18:46).

Peace Within ~

“May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us." ...”
Saint Terese of Liseaux

Forever

I run to you , you are there waiting , We sin - you forgive . You wait for us , as we run around looking for other things . You are patience , why don't we understand . You gave us all , and we still don't get it . G-d you loving and kind . I want you by my side forever .

Lives

“Long before we even lose our lives, we lose our souls. Tragic but true. Some carry on—willing to make the sacrifices, putting what is perceived as important before anything else. Some tread into the dark—wasting moments of grace, letting themselves suffer from their own decisions or the other’s domination. Some continue to love, give too much, and not leave even a little love for themselves.” ―

A Guest House ~

“This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor...Welcome and entertain them all. Treat each guest honorably. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”

The Moment ~

1. The moment you realize that the person you cared for has nothing intellectually or spiritually to offer you, but a headache. 2. The moment you realize God had greater plans for you that don’t involve crying at night or sad Pinterest quotes.
3. The moment you stop comparing yourself to others because it undermines your worth, education and your parent’s wisdom.
4. The moment you live your dreams, not because of what it will prove or get you, but because that is all you want to do. People’s opinions don’t matter.
5. The moment you realize that no one is your enemy, except yourself.
6. The moment you realize that you can have everything you want in life. However, it takes timing, the right heart, the right actions, the right passion and a willingness to risk it all. If it is not yours, it is because you really didn’t want it, need it or God prevented it.
7. The moment you realize the ghost of your ancestors stood between you and the person you loved. They really don't want you mucking up the family line with someone that acts anything less than honorable.
8. The moment you realize that happiness was never about getting a person. They are only a helpmate towards achieving your life mission.
9. The moment you believe that love is not about losing or winning. It is just a few moments in time, followed by an eternity of situations to grow from.
10. The moment you realize that you were always the right person. Only ignorant people walk away from greatness.”
Shannon L. Alder

Tears

Tears are God’s gift to us. Our holy water. They heal us as they flow. I should be healed soon . 3 Years of Many Tears ~

Choose

“Why do we choose sadness over happiness, when we are hurting? answer is simple, because every other emotion just feels wrong, depending upon how well you can lie to yourself and convince yourself to feel happy again. But if you want to heal your wounds, Let sadness take its course. Praise To God ~

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard . For it is written," As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall give PRAISE to God .

True Happiness

“True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not.”
Seneca the Younger

Each one is different, you know, & all very beautiful, if you listen carefully ~

Exposed ~

“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.” ― C. JoyBell C.

Wait

'I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing...'

Be Still ~

'I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing...'

To Hold Each Other ~

“For nothing is fixed, forever and forever and forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always changing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out.” ― James Baldwin

A Time ~

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born, to die, a time to plant , uproot, a time to kill , heal, a time to tear down , build, a time to weep, laugh, a time to mourn , dance, a time to scatter stones, gather them, a time to embrace , a time to refrain, a time to search, time to give up, a time to keep, throw away, a time to tear , mend, a time to be silent , speak, a time to love , hate, a time for war , peace.

A Face

“I have seen a face with a thousand countenances, and a face that was but a single countenance as if held in a mould. I have seen a face whose sheen I could look through to the ugliness beneath, and a face whose sheen I had to lift to see how beautiful it was. I have seen an old face much lined with nothing, and a smooth face in which all things were graven. I know faces, because I look through the fabric my own eye weaves, and behold the reality beneath.”

Wait and Hope ~

“There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. We must of felt what it is to die, Morrel, that we may appreciate the enjoyments of life. " Live, then, and be happy, beloved children of my heart, and never forget, that until the day God will deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is contained in these two words, 'Wait and Hope.”

Compassion ~

Maybe, it is just enough to believe with a positive heart that people didn’t let you down. They couldn’t give you the compassion you really wanted based on where their heart is right now. There on that Sunday morning, a light will shine through the fog of lies, misunderstanding and frustration they built inside their angry mind about your true character. Maybe, on that day, the whisper of their gratitude for your love will find its way back to your heart.”

I love You ~

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

Prevailing Prayers ~

“There is no power like that of prevailing prayer - of Abraham pleading for Sodom, Jacob wrestling in the stillness of the night, Moses standing in the breach, Hannah intoxicated with sorrow, David heartbroken with remorse and grief, Jesus in sweat and blood. Add to this list from the records of the church your personal observation and experience, and always there is cost of passion unto blood. Such prayer prevails It brings power. It brings fire. It brings rain. It brings life. It brings God.”
